: Seems like somewhere I read that it was only recently the 100,000th Z3 was produced. I'm a bit surprised that over 75000 have been sold in the US if that is true, since it means the vast majority are produced for US consumption. I was under the impression BMW's worldwide sales of all models reflected a much smaller percentage than that being sold here though the US may be their biggest single market. Is this entire roadster revival primarily a US phenom or what?

The 200,000th Z3 was produced on Sep 7, 1999. As of that date approximately 70,000 Z3's were either sold or in dealer inventory in the United States so our per cent of the total production is about 35%.

Hope this answers your question.
