Every four wheel disc brake equiped car I've ever driven for a long distance in even moderate rain without applying the brakes takes 1 to 2 hours...I mean 1/2 a second to dry out enough to slow the car. I'm pretty sure I soiled myself the first time it happened to me! I think the more open wheels of my Z3 make the effect more pronounced. (The pause in braking power, not the soiling. :o)) I think it'd be a good idea to gently apply them every now and again whilst driving long distances in rain to keep them somewhat less wet.
