True, if you are on a lone stretch of road with no other cars ahead of you for 1-2 miles then no detector will save your arse. My V-1 saved me twice yesterday from instant-on traps. I recognized a couple of very brief, mild Ka blips as a likely instant-on trap ahead as Johnny Law was sampling other cars ahead for offenders. The V-1 is excellent at providing you with information, one has to interpret the info properly to achieve maximum protection. A V-1 in combo with a CB provides near ticket proof protection.
