Better brakes are an easy decision. I went with the Porterfield R4S (S=Street) Carbon/Kevlar pads and Motul brake fluid. It's incredible how much the stopping power is improved, although after a month I had to deal with an annoying screech out of them when warm. I just discovered the other night that a quick stop from 100 mph eliminates the noise.

I also replaced the struts and shocks with Bilstein sport units, starting with the rears. They massively reduced the car's tendency to move around, particularly the off-throttle rear-end lift that is so, uhh, exciting mid-turn. Absolutely worth the expense and effort.

That's all I've done so far, but I'm strongly considering some mellow springs. Good luck with your choices.
