Have just reviewed archives for posts related to this subject. Found several which referred to this problem during wet/humid conditions.
Interesting. Are you sure this isn't a loss of traction? I've experienced both, but they're not quite the same. Under very wet conditions, it's happened: 1) At toll booths (smooth concrete in the lane); and, 2) At freshly-painted traffic intersections (the paint they use has high rubber content, I believe).

I have just recently began to feel just a bit of shudder on my 00' 2.3 which has just over 11k. Would appreciate some thoughts/comments from the group paricularly if anyone has experienced same.
The clutch shudder occurs when the car is very hot & stuck in heavy stop-n-go traffic; and, is cause by the glazing of the non-asbestos clutch lining. The service people I talked to indicated that it's kinda common, and temporary at worse.

As someone else mentioned, you're under wty. A couple with E36 318's have had their clutches replaced under wty. Unless there's something seriously wrong, it'll be difficult to prove it to the dealer.

Good luck.
