I don't want to start an argument with anyone but in my opinion the sound system in my 00 MZ3 is just plain poor. (At least for a $45k auto!) It is the business CD with the HK amp setup. It is fine if you never go over 35 mph. But try listening to a CD at 65 mph on the highway with the top down! The buzz from the sub woofers is so bad I don't even bother to listen to it anymore. The stereo setup in my wife's 91 535 sounds infinitely better and it is the stock radio with the 6 disc factory player in the trunk. Unless BMW has done something significantly different I suspect you will get the same stereo setup and the same performance as you currently have.
