but unfortunately I can't find anyone personally that owns one. The first night I was here, I saw a Black 2.8 pull up to an ATM machine on a side street near the Odeon, off Blvd. St. Germain. I was 2 blocks away, so I did not have a chance to accost the poor girl with my fractured French before the transaction completed and she drove away. I have since seen 2 others in heavy traffic at various points, both also black and pre-99 models. From the mix of other BMW's I'm seeing on the streets, there is definitely a wide preference for diesel here. Also very high percentage of older to newer models. I go to Paris on business several times a year, but I never paid attention to the vehicles before. It's usually hard to think of home when you're in this city. But, reading the MB sure makes me think about my lonely 'baby' sitting in the garage waiting for me. I have 2 more days of meetings, so there's still a slim possibility I might meet a Zed-owner in person. Au plus tard....
