the last time the car was started (before the 4 day sit), was the car only run for a very short time period (like under 15 seconds).

The reason I ask if that the M engine does not like this. I started mine, backed it out the garage, turned it off, did something, started it, put it back in the garage and then turned it back off. The next morning it coughed and spuddered eventually setting off the check engine light.

After 5 minutes of driving everything was back to normal and the check engine light went off the next day.
