To save my Z3 2.8 Coupe from the lousy Boston Winter Weather I bought a Jeep Wrangler to use on inclement days.Until last week I have been able to drive the Z3 1-2 days /week, each time 10-15 miles each way.To date the car has performed flawlessly and the battery seems to stay charged. We recently had a change in weather with snow and very cold which has the streets full os sand and salt so I have the Z3 in the garage and have been using the Jeep. The question is how long can I keep the Z3 in a semi-heated garage without using a trickle charger or disconnecting the battery and not having the battery go dead.I have the possibility of pulling the car out of the garage and running it for 15-20 minutes at fast idle or even at 2000 RPM with me in the car. every week or so.My hope is that the streets will clear enough to take it out occasionally, but with the current spell this could be 1-2 weeks. What experience has any one had.Any info would be appreciated.I was trying to avoid the need for either a trickle charge or disconnecting the battery. i..e. how long can the Z3 reasonably sit in the garage without trouble given it had previously been used every week for 20-40 miles. Any info or creative suggestions appreciated. THANKS
