I was visiting the UUC Motorwerks site to check out what short shift kits they had for the 2.8L Z3. Has anyone tried the the "Evo" version. They claim the ball bearing works much better than any other kind of bearing. Sounds tempting!

One question is whether the Effort Reducing Kit is an advantage. Actually they don't seem to offer it for the 2.8L, but funny that it does seem to be available through the Message Board store...but no Evo option!

One other option seems to be installing a stock M Roadster shifter. Any opinions on this as to performance, difficulty, cost?

Thanks in advance.

: Who among you knows everything there is to know about the manual transmissions in the various engine size equipped Z's?. Do the 2.8, 2.3 and ///M all have the same manual
: trans? If so, or if not, which car has what? I understand that two contractors make trans for the cars, Getrag and ZF.
: Who can shed some light on this? How about the pro's and con's of the two types?
: Thanks
