I think the M-roadster is one of the most interesting roadsters out there. Three things make the M-Roadster so special : itís a real M car, based on the BMW idea born in the í70ís how a M car should be (read the books), performance and individuality. It is one of the few great cars BMW is still building. Forget the E46 itís overpriced, ugly looking and plain boring (hope the E46 M3 will be better !).
BMW stopped making cars for drivers. Sorry, back to the S2000 and the Z3 Ö.I just hate that E46 !!!
I agree with you , the Honda S2000 is worth the money as long as you donít pay more than MSRP. Yes it handles great, has a great engine and it is a drivers car like the M-roadster.
I also agree on your point that we have way too many BMW enthusiasts who are just blind. All what they see is BMW . Regardless what BMW does they think they have to accept everything (especially those who think, driving BMW makes them something special).
We need to be fair, BMW is losing ground. Others are getting better. The Honda S2000 is not the best car in the world but better than many BMWs out there. I wish BMW would do something and start building more driver oriented cars.
Donít get me wrong here, I myself, love BMW (more the old once) and I drive BMW now for 12 years but all I see is more luxury, ugly designs, more money and more useless products ( X5 is just one ugly example..).
I am not interested in a war about who makes better cars but I am sick of those who think BMW is the best in the world , because it isnít. BMW makes great cars as well as junk.
If you ask me the only great cars BMW is building are the M5 (here , at least you get something for your money) , the M-roadster and the M-coupe at the moment. The rest is pure money making luxury transportation.
M-Roadster and E36 driver.
