: : 1) Does the rear window blanket come with the car or is it an add-on option (I didn't get one with the car) ? YES IT COMES WITH CAR AT NO ADDITIONAL COST

: Should be free warranty, I just got mine at no cost from my BMW dealer (97 2.8) P/N is 82-11-1-469-778. Also, if you have the cassette holder and would like to exchange it for the cup holder, it is also free (including install) P/N is 82-11-1-469-516

: : 2) Is the rear window blanket necessary, does it really help maintain the window and/or does it do anything else? YES IT REDUCES SCRATCHES DUE TO RUBBING WHEN WINDOW FOLDS IN UPON ITSELF CUASED BY NORMAL VIBRATIONS- ALSO KEEP THE WINDOW CLEAN DIRT DOES A JOB ON THE PLASTIC

: : 3) Should I be putting anything on the soft top (perservative, waterproofing, etc.)? YES BMW SELLS TOP PRESERVATIVE

: : 4) Any additional maintenance items that a hard top person (like me) wouldn't know about?
USE MEGUIRES PLASTIC CLEANER AND POLISH FOR THW PLASTIC REAR WINDOW.
: : Thanks,
: : Artie
