I'll be the first to admit that this may be a little extreme, but it started right up and ran like a charm after sitting for five months. I did the same thing again this December 1st, the only difference being the tire pressure. I switched to BFG G-Force tires last year, so I used their maximum pressure from the sidewall (44 psi). Check your tires to see what they can take.

If its only going to sit for a few weeks, then just top up the fuel tank and pump up the tires. There are two schools of thought on whether or not to run the engine occasionally during storage. I'm in the the bag it and leave it camp. Your call. At least roll the car back and forth a bit so that it sits on different parts of the tires.
