There is plastic license plate backing plate for this car. If fact, I don't think the two holes that are in your bumper align with the plate holes without the plastic piece. My M roadster came with the plastic in place, so you must be able to get it from the dealer.

A few years ago Texas considered dropping the front plate requirement, but DPS opposed the action. Seems Vettes don't have a very good front radar signature without the flat front plate. Could be that's the reason our friend got his ticket!!

You're going to have to bend the front plate on your car to get it to fit the curved front bumper. May help reduce the radar signature even if it does look a little odd.

: I purchased my M Coupe slightly used and there was no front plate on it. Dealer ordered new plates but there is no plate bracket "just two holes" on front bumper. Would a standard size license plate holder work and do you have any suggestions as to what would detract the least, from the appearance?

: : Last nite I was harrassed by a cop for having no front plate on my new z3, that coupled with the fact I'm only 20 didn't help my case, my question is how can I fight this? Can I ask to contest it? Get a jury? Any help would be great!
