Think of 15 jpegs, each 800 x 600... it would take too much time to upload, and way to much time for anyone to view. But, when the gif is saved on your hard drive, it takes a second to load, thats it.
If you want some backgrounds, use my idea. Browse around BMWusa.com and BMW.com both have galleries.
In the Z3, M Roadster, and M Coupe sections of BMWusa.com, there are some nice pics of Zs, all on white backgrounds. I suppose that you could use my idea of creating a GIF file, and having each image flash onto the screen for a second or two. The images I'm talking about have a white background. So, create an animated gif, then stick the GIF onto a webpage with a white background... presto!
