'til you've done it on a bike and not all snugly strapped into the cocoon of a 911. There's no excitement like wondering if you really *are* going to be able to hang onto the damn thing!

The good news is that experience costs less than what it'd take to overhaul one seized turbo on your Dad's 911. I find all this talk about 0-60 and what people are willing to spend to get it very amusing. Accelerating in any street-legal car, especially in a straight line, is plumb boring. To me it's doing the twisties that's all the fun in a car and in that I will give honors to the T911 among 4-wheelers since it's the one that will test your skill and your bladder control the best. But a 1.9 or even a TT can do a respectable job of challenging that as well if you really know how to drive, so no need to knock those particular cars.

Just another point of view on this, and not intended to be a putdown of anybody's vehicle.
