I went looking for the parts to do a clutch stop a-la-Ron Stygar, and whilst in the hardware store spotted the following:
I thought they looked pretty much like what I wanted the finished product to be, so I bought them. Out of the packet, I discovered the thread was 1.25, not the 1.5 specified, but a quick run of the correct die over it, and viola! (Apologies to any offended engineering types :-)
I added a washer and jam nut, and installed:
So, if there are another 3 Z3 drivers around Sydney, Australia, they can get an adjustable clutch stop for $10.00 AUD.
BTW, I *love* the way it feels to change gears now!! It's so much slicker; it almost feels like an on-off switch :-)
