: : My 97' Z3 only has 13,000 miles on it and the breaks squeek all the time. I do clean the wheels often but a day or two after I clean them they squeek again. Anyone else have this problem and what can I do?

: I had the same problem. Mine is a M98 with just 2.000 miles on. The dealer told it's a problem when you don't use the brakes to much. His advise: just go to the HW get to 80MPH a few times hit the brakes as hard as you can and that will remove the "porcelain" kind of film that is actually covering your discs.

Ditto. I have the same problem at times. I brought the car into the dealer, and they said that it's an intermittent problem with the BMW brakes. They cleaned off the top film, but they still do it from time to time.
