There is a defroster for the rear window; the vents in the top-well come on when you turn the defroster for the front windshield on. I find it works better if you use the two center vents on the dash to defrost the rear window by pointing them directly towards it and turn on the A/C and the fan to "high". However, the plastic rear window will have a hazy film over a period of time, say couple of weeks, and you will need to use some elbow grease to clean it. Using plastic polish or cleaner will lengthen the time between cleaning, but don't expect the plastic window to be as clear as glass.
