and the ones they make today are relatively trouble free though they still need occasional cleaning with a special polish such as Novus to keep them clear. As others have pointed out the window will defrost quickly enough using the car's main heater, and a rear window is not even needed for safe navigation on a car with dual heated power side mirrors (that's a bit much in itself to those of us weaned on traditional roadsters, but a glass backlight with one of those ugly barbecue grills to defrost it is as utterly unnecessary as an electric top IMHO ;-)
In any event buy the car you like *driving* the best because that's what a roadster's all about. If minor details of convenience drive your decision you could end up with a minivan!
: I am considering leasing a Z3 and am interested in some of the pros and cons from current owners. I am also considering a miata and I know the engine is not as big but one thing that concerns me about the BMW is the plastic window in the back. Has anybody had any problems with a plastic window with no defroster? Can anybody help me out with an honest review of the car? Thanks
