: Anticipating drive to Key West. Anyone with info on nice clean accomodation, please e-mail me. Thanks
I used to work 2 weeks a quarter for a few years in Key West. Can't help with cheap, I've stayed at: Casa Marina, Hyatt, Sheraton Suites, Currey Mansion, Hampton Inn and the Holiday Inn. All were pretty good, but I liked the Sheraton the best, mostly cuz it was new and on the opposite side of the island from all the action, next the Hyatt, which is right in the center of it.
When you're there, LOTS of good restaurants. It's been a couple of years since I've been back, but if these restaurants are still there, well worth a look: Louie's Backyard (expensive), Manga Manga, Duffy's and Cafe Des Artiste (they split a kitchen, both not cheap), Blue Moon Cafe, Pepe's -- and of course, Margaritaville!!
You gotta love a place where you can go to the most expensive restaurant, which is VERY expensive, and wear shorts and sandals.
