Well, I don't care what Punxsutawney Phil said yesterday, spring has sprung (at least for now) in the Bay Area. It is supposed to drizzle on us tonight, but no matter. I had the morning off today so I took a little top-down sprint up into the East Bay hills. Ahhhhhhhh.
Needed a windbreaker when I took off at 7:15, but by the time I had to return to civilization, it was shirt sleeves and heater fan on "1."
Stopped for a half-hour in the middle to take some "how-to" tire change pix. I'll post later today after I get them developed. While I was working, a East Bay Regional Parks ranger pulled over to give me hand. I puzzled him more than a bit by declining his help because "I'm just taking pictures of a simulated tire change and I really don't have a flat." He was polite enough to disguise his check of the cockpipt for open alcohol containers by feigning interest in the car :o)
Gave a bicyclist the details on the car after he looped back around to check it out. He was pleasantly surprised to hear that his guess at sticker was more than $10k too high.
Waved at a miatoid going the opposite direction as I descended toward home.
I LOVE my Z3.
