99' 2.8 subwoofer, rattles bad.. any fix? (archive)

I have taken my Z3 in 3 times to try and stop the subwoofer from rattling. Dealer adjusted it, replaced the sub, and then told me it was an engineering problem that they could do nothing about at this time because it is surrounded in a plastic case. They have quite a few Z3 customers with the same problem. Any suggestions?
