: If I use the standard carjack to jack each side at a time, I don't know where to put the jack stands since the carjack is utitilizing the jack point. Does anybody have a clue? TIA.
I had the same question. I use a large floor jack
and it leaves no place for the stands. I put a 2 x 4 about 12 inches long between the stand head and the underside of the car just inside the rocker panel sort of "in line" with the jacking
plates. This has worked for me on both my 2.8 and ///M Roadster. BE CAREFULL in any case and lower the car slowly onto the stands (wood) Be sure you use a piece of wood LARGE enough to spread the weight over a large area.
