IMO, the S2000 interior is too bland. Just an intrument cluster for the driver, vents and a radio which isn't visible unless the panel is down (thought a nifty theft deterrent I suppose).

I took a peak in before I went in the store. I do like the alum. shift knob, but it could use a shift pattern ala the Rob Knob from UUC. I also noticed that the center console where the shifter is, appears to be very high. More like a race car (close to your hand at the 3 o'clock position). I don't know how comfortable that would be in normal driving because I tend to drive (in traffic) with my arm resting on the armrest and my hand on the shifter. Don't know if that would work in that car. I really like the front end of the S2000. the back end is kind of bland, but upon closer inspection the tail lights are a little better looking than they first appear. The car just looks a ton better with the top down, period.

: (I argued with the salesperson that I could walk over to the Mercedes Benz and test drive an $60K car, but you won't let me test drive this $33K car).

I know what you mean. I look pretty young, especially if I'm not wearing nice clothes. I got shunned at a Chevy dealer when I asked to drive a corvette. My wife and I pulled up in a 328i. I'm still pissed off at that lady for not taking me seriously. That was a year ago. Makes me want to drive my new M3 through the showroom window and park it on her desk. :)
