: rofl... thanks for reminding me... I love your part of the world, I used to live in Palo Alto when I worked at Stanford and it is just amazingly gorgeous. Ya do get your share of volitile weather!
: I'm hoping for a top down day here tomorrow... should be mid 40's and sunny :)
Well, we do get a little bit of volatility, but it's actually pretty predictable most of the time. And a "bad" day consists of a few inches of rain and temps in the 50s. The horror!
I should have known better than to take the Z3 over to the tire place (the Golf would have sufficed for hauling a blown out tire) because by the time I left, the wind was already blowing pretty hard and the sky had that ominous heavy gray look to it. I was mainly a bit fed up because the weather people had been saying afternoon rain for a few days prior with nary a drop. Guess it was waiting for some insolent fool like me to taunt fate by driving top down with the boot cover installed. Serves me right.
Mid 40's, eh? That's OK for an evening trip to Safeway or to get gas, but as a daily high I'd have to ask for a bit more. Northern California is about as extreme as I will tolerate after growing up in San Diego. It might even be slightly more perfect up here than in So. Cal. because we actually get enough precipitation (and the resulting vegetation) to keep the dust down most of the year.
Now if the weather would just play nice, Michele and I can take our planned weekend jaunt down to Big Sur. The PCH has been big on our list of things to do in the Z3. And maybe the humpbacks will still be moseyin' past the lighthouse or some other convenient lookout point...
Too bad it's only Tuesday. Now that the morning fog has burned off, it's looking quite fabulous. Supposedly we've got highs in the mid-60s today! Good thing Michele has the Z3 or else I'd be hard pressed to stay at work until 4:30.
