I have found that yopu can use the floor jack anywhere along eh side of the Z3 without damage. As I have a lower suspension, I have to jack the car up slightly with the factory jack in order to get the flor jack under it.

I use a polyurethane pad on the foot of the jack and urethane pads on the tops of the jackstands, and I place them under the jacking points.
