: : I purchased a 2000 m roadster 2 weeks ago. I noticed that there is a faint seam on the plastic clock face at the 6:00 position that extends from the hole for the time setter (at the center of the face), and extends about 1/2 way done the clock face. Is this normal?

: I posed this same question when I took delivery of my Y2K M about 6 months ago. About 80% of the respondants said they also had this "scratch." The local BMW dealer ordered me 2 new clocks which all had this "scratch". They researched this further and advised me it was an "indicator mark". When questioned as to what this indicated, they assumed it indicated verticle. I wonder why they didn't just use the 12 and 6 as an indicator of verticle....

: So, to make a long story short (sorry, too late), this must be "normal" what ever normal is.
