Their response was a thinly veiled inquiry about the girth of my passenger. I'm 6'1" 190, but the most common complainant about the passenger seatbelt is a guy I carpool with who's got to be 260 if he weighs a pound. The driver's side has locked on me once or twice, too, but not while the car is in motion -- more like I can't get it to extend so I can put it on. Gentle retraction and slow extension usually solves this problem.
IMO, the service rep was a bit gutsy in asking the question. Had my wife been the victimized one, the rep sure wouldn't have gotten a favaorable rating on the follow-up phone survey. :o)
