: I'll echo what many have said - drive it yourself and steel yourself to IGNORE everyone else's opinion - including mine. In my particular case I opted for the 2.5 liter 6, even though the 2.8 and 3.2 were all within my affordability range. To me, the 2.3 feels "fast enough." The M will push me back into the seat harder but has several deficits (to me) that make me prefer the 2.3. When I drove the 1.9 (a couple of years ago) and compared it to the 2.8, I concluded that I prefered the 2.8 - the gain in oomph outweighted the loss in nimbleness. But now the 2.3 "beats" the 2.8 (again, for me).
: So it's got to be a personal decision. Just down disparage anyone else's choice and you won't go wrong.
