So I told myself, "Okay, this is the worst I'll ever have to deal with and it's over with right away". I hope you have nothing but clear sailing from now on.
Things could be worse. Like my friend who took his van in to be inspected at the Chrysler dealer. They put it on a lift, and IT FELL OFF THE LIFT!!! It was totalled.
He called to ask if it was done, and they said "There's a slight problem, you need to come in ..." When he saw it the service manager said basically TSB (Tough $hit Buddy), call your insurance after all you signed a waiver saying we aren't responsible for damage. I told him to consult a lawyer, they have to exercise reasonable care, and letting the car fall off the lift aint reasonable. The threat of a lwayer was enough, they settled on a new van at invoice minus the blue book value of the van pre crash.
So it COULD be worse...
but I hope it isn't!
