chuckle chuckle on THAT score I think since Phillip isn't interested in an M Roadster.....

OK OK....
You have to drive them to decide.

You have to drive them to decide.

You have to drive them to decide.

The only rule is GET WHAT YOU WANT

I hear you say:
" I am not interested in competition driving or racing, but I want to enjoy the car. "

Sounds like you are feeling outside pressure to go for the bigger engine. (The smaller engine may actually win more races- if you mean autocross.)

I believe that everyone knows which car suits them, 2.8 owner is a 2.8 owner. I wanted the car with the most pick up, for getting onto the expressway. I didn't even test drive the 1.9. I have only driven a 2.3 and that only for a moment, and it wasn't my cup of tea. I have no interest in an M Roadster or a coupe.
I would wager that a Fogged 1.9 has that pick up, especially with the other toys like superchargers, but I dunno, I am a 2.8 owner. There is a wonderful crowd of 1.9 owners here ready to help you make that 1.9 exactly the way you want it.

Just have the strength of your convinctions, like you said, this is YOUR dream car, no one else's opinion matters. Get the car you want! (Or as close to it as humanly possible)

Hope to Z you in a Z3 real soon, Good Luck!
