Vibrating noise from behind the dash (archive)

Happens at idle when really cold outside.
Can be induced to happen if I upshift at really low rpms. It seems that when the engine vibrates so does something else right behind and below the speedometer.
This is on a 99 M Coupe.
Any ideas ?
