Did any bristish leyland car have an operation horn ? Both of my poor man Austin Healey 3000
(72 and 76 TR-6) did have working horns, but did they have a great sound. Like you the tone was
"serious" without being overly offensive.
My MZ3 tone was what sold me. I think your memeory
is right on the money, and if i can figure out a way to get the smell of gasoline to emit into the cockpit i would be back in time lol

99 ///m roadster all the retro but with better
electronics !!!

: so beautiful that pretty girls would wave you down
: on every corner. We did'nt use use the non-working horns thanks to the crappy Lucas wiring harness. The Austin Healey 3000,when
: shifted into the electic 3 rd gear downshift,
: passed everything with a great deal of noise.
: It had a "serious tone" that invited Mustangs and
: GTO's to follow it through s-curves. The Jag,
: with a curved upward set of chrome pipes just
: bellowed "follow me if you can" at 105 in third
: gear. They were great sounding cars and fun to
: drive. The Z3 2.3 reminds me of their great
: handling and sound, unless i'm losing my memory.
