We might consider including the Glen Rose area in our drive plans. Among the many attractions in that area, besides some great curvy, hilly roads, are the Dinosaur State Park, where you can see the remains of huge dinosaur tracks near the river, and the Fossil Rim wildlife park, where you can view African animals such as giraffes and zebras while driving through in your car, then have lunch on a deck overlooking the animals. Glen Rose also possesses Hammond's Barbeque, one of the better authentic small-town barbeque restaurants I've ever enjoyed. We might also work out arrangements to do a spin around the track at the Motorsport Ranch near Cresson on the way out or back.
