I just whipped out the trusty HP-48SX. The thrilling 138 HP of the 1.9 four equates to 102,900 Watts. Thus, disconnecting your 90 amp (1260 W) alternator will give you 1.5% more power. It should almost counteract the added weight from the jumper cables you will have to drag around with you, of course they will improve weight distribution.
