Dunno if this is true. Never been to the factory, so it's all hearsay.

: Off in a seperate section, they were putting the finishing touches on a New production line for the X5, and several samples of the X5 were rolling off the line. It was an expansion of the Spartanburg plant, and it was made for the X5.
: These two assembly lines are seperate and distinct. The only way for the X5 to take over the Spartanburg plant would be for BMW to stop producing Z3s completely. That just isn't gonna happen until BMW says so.
