Yes, I did think about an NSX becuz at the time, it too was an exotic that if you shopped around, you could get a used one at a great price...The looks are great, and the VTEC is silky smooth, but no matter how you dice it up, it is still just a 6 cylinder with 270 hp....the smaller MZ3 has almost the same hp and is very quick as well. At this point, forget the RX7 twin turbo...I got mine when it first came out in 93' and sold it when I spent $7,600 on repairs..55k miles, so warranty was gone and I babied the car...wastegate, cat converter, 2nd turbo, and the list goes on....after legal battles, Mazda paid all but $4,300...I felt lucky at that point. If I had more $$$, I would get a 96 or 97 twin turbo Lotus in the mid 50k range...the interior is dramatically improved from the 4banger and it is more of an exotic. The Viper is definitely the most bang for the buck if you don't mind the styling, and you can pick up a well kept 93' or 94' for high 30k to low 40k...if improving to an MZ3 is not your taste, but you like the size of the car, get the 427 shleby cobra replica for around 40k....
Any questions on any used exotics, feel free to ask...I spent years trying to find one that I could afford to maintain....
