: I made an offer on a 97 2.8 Silver/black top Z3 today (25K miles). The List was 28,000 and I made an offer of 25,500, which wasn't accepted but they just left me a message saying that I finance with them that they would accept that offer. It doesn’t have auto roof, CD player or heated seats. But it does have 17" rims and wood grain. I'm not sure if I should get it or not. ANY SUGGESTION? THANKS.
Quite a few have opined that the 17" wheels are a very desirable option. The 97 is a great example of a "roadster"...auto roof is extra weight and mechanics, a pleasure for some, but a neccesity for few..if you drove it and YOU liked it, you probably won't regret it!...be sure it's mechanically sound. It should still be under warranty..."Buyer Beware" is really preceded by "Buyer Aware"...good Luck!
