: I just noticed one of my tires has a bubble on the outer wall. The wheel looks fine. Its just the tire. The tires have 26000 miles, they are the original tires from the factory. They've been rotated and balanced every 6000 miles, religiously. Does anybody know if BMW will replace this under the car warranty, or under the tire warranty? Am I in any danger of the tire exploding on me while I'm driving?

: P.S. I have no idea how the bubble on the tire got there!
Ask Michelin about it. I once had this in an old set of MXV's on my 87 BMW. It was a slight defect in the sidewall. Had no problems no blowouts or vibration etc. Sometimes caused by going over a pothole too fast. If not excessive you can live with it. BUT if you are a fast driver you may want to replace it just to be sure.
