: Hey don"t worry. If BMW can put an "M" on my steering wheel and gearshift on my 002.8 straight from facory, you should be entitled to some cool stem sovers. BTW after receiving my vehicle I ask BMW what was with the M stuff, they didn"t reply.

///M is for ///Mmmmarketing. The ///M logo stands for sportiness when it comes to BMW's so to "spruce up" or "sport up" some of their models, (e.g. the 318ti sport of a couple years ago, and the newer Z3's) they stuck some ///M logos on there to try to appeal to the sport crazed automobile market nowadays.

Being an M3 owner, I'm not crazy about the idea of ///M logos all over the place in non-M cars, but I'm happy for you Z3ers that you got the 3 spoke M steering wheel. I love mine, and think all their sporty models should have it. Either that or the 3 spoke from the E46 spt pkg.

One badge I do like is the small ///M logo on the back center of the spoiler that fits on the 318ti, but I think that was an aftermarket M-Technic aerodynamics part from BMW, not a factory option. As for the side molding and shifter knob, it's overkill in a non-M car (only IMO of course). :)
