: Hi folks,

: Stupid question. Is it ok for me to use Zymol wax on the front and rear plastic painted bumpers of my MZ3? If not, what is the best product to use there. Also, it is necessary to use HDCleanse every time you wax?

: Thanks a bunch,

The paint on the metal body parts I believe is a Thermoset Water Reducible Acrylic overcoated w/ a Thermoset Acrylic Powder.

The paint on the plastic parts (bumpers, air dams, gills, etc.) should be an Acrylic Urethane basecoat followed by a Clear Coat of same for it's inherent durability and adhesion to plastics since the plastics cannot withstand thermosetting temperatures.

In either case what you are waxing is the paint and not the substrate, and yes you can wax both types w/ Zymol FWIW.
