I'm in Sacramento area so it would be a long drive from San Diego; although Hwy 395 is nice in spring. The dealer here was Alarming Sounds. Was $389 installed, which means about $200 for the comfort of an experienced install team. Check the largest yellow pages you have for local dealer.

: Where did you purchase the 8300 and for how much? I went all over town today trying to find the Ungo 8300 and no one sells it. Actually very few places sold and Ungo models. It seemed that most other brands that I saw were pretty expensive and I would have to pay extra for the keyless entry. I checked out the Autoloc and it seemed perfect and it was only $150, but I just don't feel comfortable taking my 2 day old car apart. If there is anyone in the San Diego area that has installed their one themself and would like to help me, let me know.

: : Thanks to all for all the great info on the Ungo 8300. Had mine installed yesterday, nice alarm. During install the driver window stopped going up on auto when pressed hard. After the installer called a BMW tech we found out that the windows have "memory" and simply forgot what it was supposed to do. To correct press and hold the down button for 5 to 10 seconds after the window is all the way down; then repeat for Up. The window will then remember the Auto setting.
