Drag racing is easy and cheap, all you need is a DOT approved helmet. Most drag strips have amateur racing.

The race itself will be pointless. The M will be 1st, the S2000 next and the 2.8 will follow. Unless of course the track is sticky and the Honda grips and dogs, then it will be last. Unpredictable launches is one S2000 trait the press reviews all agree on.

Personally, I think the S2000 is a better autocross car than my M. But, so is the Miata and parking lot racing wasn't high on my prepurchase checklist.

As for track racing, it sounds like fun. However, it will prove a test of driver not of car. My former motocross experience tells me, the one with the least fear of death and injury usually wins.

Car comparisons require all other variables controlled. These are best performed by the mags. So, if you want to contrast driving ability, go to Derek Daily. If you want to compare cars, read the publications.
