I had posted a similar topic just last week. What I have been looking for is a beater that has enough room to fit couple computer monitors and boxes. But since I'm not too comfortable with buying used cars, I will be going for a brand new Honda Civic. It's slightly more than $10k for a totally stripped down hatch back version, and it has no pizzaz whatsoever, but it would be a reliable workhorse. But if it ever have any problem, my friend will give me some pointers since he works on his own Civic.
