My husband and I test drove both the 2.8 roadster and the Boxter (not S). The Boxter acceleration was better and felt more responsive/powerful, and the handling was a little tighter on the Boxter. However, the Boxter was really rough. I could feel every single bump and waver in the road with its tight suspension. Since the 2.8 is going to be my daily driver, I found this to be a negative for the Boxter. We also have really bad roads here in Austin, TX, which may have exaggerated the suspension's stiffness.
