You would be better off using the jump start terminals in the engine compartment if you can reach them. If there was enough power to start the Audi you should have been able to start the Z3. Was the Audi running at about 2000 rpm for a few minutes with the cables hooked up? Are your jumper cables 4 or 6 gauge and are they attached directly to solid copper clamps. Expect to pay $35/45 dollars for a good set of 16ft cables. Good luck with the road service.
