The definite answer is "it depends". If the car passes inspection by a good BMW trained mechanic then $9500 is a decent but not really outstanding price. Can the owner provide the service history? If so that's worth a lot. Be sure to try the AC, big $$$ if that doesn't work.

FWIW my '94 325i with 85K has been very reliable. It feels like it has another 100 K in it no problem.
