ERT contracted a third-party to look into the issue and summed it up in this post:
ERT Response

The pulleys ARE BALANCED and have BETTER HARMONICS then aftermarket flywheels.

I think both are neat products. I currently run the ERT pulley on a '00 ///M and have driven an M3 with a lightened flywheel. I liked the flywheel a bit more then the pulley, but not enough to warrant the extra $500 it would take to purchase and install the flywheel (product: pulley $350, flywheel $650 and install costs: pulley $0 DIY, flywheel $300). When my clutch goes I will look into the flywheel, but until then the pulley is the way to go for me!
: most underdrive pulleys aren't balanced and with a light weight fly wheel can create a high frequency vibration, which may cause micro cracks on your crank if kept in high revs long enough...

: The stock m clutch is balanced so replacing the pulleys gives you something. It's going to be a light weight clutch for me when I need a new one...
