They're no harder than standard seats, are extreemely comfortable, and are just the ticket to holding me in place while I'm flinging the grocerys around in the trunk. ;o)
I'm no closer to the roof than I was in the standard seats in my 1.9. There is a bit less leg room, but there's also a secret to maximizing the leg room the Z3 has. Pull the lever that adjusts the seatback angle, and let the seat spring to it's natural position. THEN, use the power adjustment to do the height first, then the fore and aft adjustment. If you go too far back, you can't go as far down. If you have the seat back reclined at all, it won't go as far back. Finally, adjust the seatback angle. I got about an extra inch this way, and that was all I needed to make them the fit perfect!
